LOG function in Excel calculates the logarithm of a given number, to a supplied base

If   ax = b   Then   Loga(b) = x

Syntax of LOG Function in Excel

LOG(number,[base])

 

Number Positive real number that you want to calculate the logarithm of.
[base] An optional argument that specifies the base to which the logarithm should be calculated. Default value is 10
